What is the name of your state? Missouri
Here's the situation:
I am my deceased uncle's estate's personal representative. My uncle owned a house with another person under a joint tenancy, the house is located in California. He used the property as a collateral for a loan ($30,000) he made when he was still alive. Under California law, his joint partner inherits the house. Am I right to assume that the $30,000 loan goes with the house? The bank filed a claim against the estate here in Missouri. Is his estate liable for that loan?
Thanks!
