What is the name of your state? California
I have a small business in California (registered as a corporation). A New York company (also a corporation) is not paying me for the good they purchased from me. The amount is approx $2500; I've tried everything and it's been a year.
I was reading through the New York civil court website, and it says "the claimant must have its principal office within the state of New York to file in the New York court system". My company is located in Califonia, so does it mean I can not file the suit? If so, is there any other legal way for me to get the money from them?
I really need this help. Thank You.What is the name of your state?
