What is the name of your state? California
My wife has left me and our 3 daughters ages 7,6,2 and took with her all our $40.000.00 savings. I hear she is in New York. What should I do and can she come back and claim my kids?

Yes, she can come back for the kids, unless you file in family law court for sole custody.
I would consider changing the locks.

See a family law attorney.

You may want to file for a divorce, or legal separation, to limit your potential liability, to document the events, and to prevent her from coming back into the house without your knowledge/permission.

You should file and have a court hearing as soon as possible.

You need an attorney to advise how to serve her and how to proceed quickly.
