Fathers Deed to his house has his sons and daughter noted as in trust.
Several creditors have put a claim (lien) against one of his sons relative to this trust.
He now cannot get a home equity loan to repair and then sell his house.
He is 85 years old and in charge of all his physical and mental capabilities.
He is a retired Army Colonel with a Silver Star.
Can the trust be removed?
What options does he have?

His options are 1) to sell the house "as is", or 2) take the house out of the trust.

I can't believe that a retired Colonel would be so broke that he can't do home improvements. There must be more to this story. Does he have any assets?

It would help to know what kind of trust this is: revocable or irrevocable. Also, is the said son a beneficiary or successor beneficiary? If he's a successor beneficiary, then as I see it he has no claim to rights on the house; therefore, any of his creditors have no basis for filing a lien against the property for his debts.
