What is the name of your state? FL

My husband has a brokerage account with his estranged son. The account is a joint tenancy with rights of survivorship/JTWROS. There is a good amount of $ in it and his son never contributed even a dime to the account. My husband would like to sever the joint tenancy but his son will never agree to it. His son would be happy to sit on the account until my husband dies just so that he would end up with all of the $.

Is there any other option other than filing a partition suit? If not, is a civil litigator the appropriate type of attorney to bring this matter to?

Thanks in advance for any advice.
