What is the name of your state? GA
Earlier post made by me will explain most of this. Since last post, both executors have been removed and the court appointed an attorney to handle grandmas estate. The house was sold 2 years ago, a year and a half ago we all received a letter stating what our portion of estate was and as soon as all heirs signed and agreed to distribution then distribution would be made. 4 of 6 heirs have signed and agreed to the distribution of 15K each. The two once executors will not sign agreeing to distribution. One is stating there was a life insurance policy, 401k and some stocks that were given to the other once executor to take care of. This one now claims grandma cashed in policy for a cruise, which we all doubt since she had 28K in savings and bank account which the other executor who works for a bank had her named added to account and the courts say the money is now hers. Fine we will accept that even though we have letters from her stating she had no intention of keeping money for self and was going to distribute to heirs. Well thats out of the question since the other hired attorney and both were removed as executors. On top of that we other 4 heirs have been told we have to pay for her attorney out of our potion of inheritence. This has been going on for almost 5 years we got close when the letters of distribution came out a yr and a half ago. Now back at standstill.

One once executor has filed a claim against the estate for the assests listed above, which the other once executor claims there are none.
Questions:
Is there anything we can file with probate to expedite the execution of her estate?

We have tried contacting the attorney for the estate with no response. Do we have any rights to get the ball rolling again.

We realize that the once executor did comingle funds when she deposited a refund check and the sale of a car into the same account that she now makes claims to which the attorney for probate divided 6 ways in letter of distribution.

Can we make claim or object to having to pay for an attorney which we did not sign paperwork that was sent out retaining said lawyer?

Are we obligated to paying attorney and all other fees other once executor is now claiming that she wants to be reimbursed for?

We would certainly appreciate any advise in this matter. 15K is not that much money, but when she passed it was 24K each. Is there no recourse for us but to watch the remaining monies disappear?:eek:What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state?
