I would like some more information on accounts or property that are set up payable on death. I have a simple will in place that divids my entire estate evenly between my daughter and my 4 grandchildren. Besides my home the majority of my assests are in CD's and money market accounts. I have each of these accounts (on the advice of the bank) set POD to my daughter. My question is how these POD accounts will affect the way I have my will set up? Will these POD accounts override the will and now allow my estate to be divided as I intended? Any advice would be appreciated. What is the name of your state?
