What is the name of your state? fl howdy i have a son from aprevious relastionship and i am the only one on the birth certificate it has no father on it my son is now 17 almost 18 and the only father he has ever had is my husband of 8 years my husband wants to adopt our son ho do we do this

Wait till the child is 18 and proceed with an adult adoption.

If you wait, it is very simple, because, as an adult, your son can himself consent and no release of the father's parental rights is needed.
