My son was falsly accused of a crime when he was 17, and had a court-appointed attorney. The attorney did most of the work on the case after my son turned 18. Am I still liable for all the attorney fees because he was a juvenile at the time of the alleged offense? Or am I not liable for the costs after he turned 18? Would it matter whether any work was done prior to him turning 18?
