What is the name of your state? Louisiana......Is VA and Postal disability retirement considered community property? and If wife sold property prior to marriage but receives monthly payments on sold property..is this considered community income?

Are you both of retirement age? What other retirement benefits do each of you have? How long have you been married?

I doubt that the VA and Postal disability benefits are divisible as community property, but depending on the rest of the financial factors, and your respective ages, you might be subject to some spousal support.

I doubt that the installment payments on the sold property would be considered to be marital.
