What is the name of your state? New Mexico

Can significant assets such as a car or a house be sold before the probate hearing is conducted?

If so, what is the procedure for making sure that the assets are sold for fair market value?
Does the executor have to notify other beneficiaries of the offers and get agreement as to the price?
