I have reviewed the laws in my state I would just like some confirmation. They state that a legal seperation is not required, but that you must be seperated for a year. We were married in November and I was brought to Germany on orders in December. I did not want to get married in the first place. I made him aware that I wanted a divorce shortly after arriving in Germany. So can I file for a divorce based on the date I left him in North Carolina? Which would be in December.
