Sure. If everybody lets the executor get away with it.

Perhaps you want to provide just a few teensy-weensy details.... Like was the will probated? Was the "executor" appointed by the court? What assets became part of the probate estate? What are the terms of the will? Pertinent thngs like that.

Yes, but then the executor would be in alot of trouble because the money has to go all beneficiaries. A person could actually go to jail, if they took all the money.
 
Anteater, can I add a few other small questions to your list?

Were there any debts to be paid by the estate that may have caused the assets to be spent?

Did the executor take more than his fee, which s/he is entitled to?

Did the will contain specific bequests (e.g., person who is executor gets certain assets, or the first % or $ of the estate?)
