My case is in Polk county Florida where I live.

A temporary custody hearing for a two year old was held on Feb 14th 2008. The mother was given custody and the father was given visitation rights and is to pay child support. However the court hearing files have not been filed at the county clerk's office yet (two months plus now) and the Judge's office refuses to release any files or paperwork concenring the case to the mother. She only has the verbal instructions from the hearing. The father's lawyer filed a request to deny access to the files and it seems that was granted

How can the mother request and receive the records and files from that hearing? Isn't she intitled to at least some written paperwork from the judge about the rulings? Right now she is giving visitation to the father per instructions and is receivnig nothing from the father. The permenant custody hearing has not been set yet.

The mother cannot afford a lawyer.

Thank you,
