What is the name of your state? Los Angeles, CA

I was ticketed for jay-walking in downtown LA. However, the incident seems wrong for several reasons. I started walking while the "stop hand" was blinking, (which I know is still illegal) but the officer said I started while it was solid. This is what he wrote on my ticket even though that's not what I did. Also, he didn't take look at any ID from me at all. I could have said I was anyone. He also spelled my last name wrong on the ticket even though I spelled it for him. He harrassed me for not having my school ID, telling me the ID says on the back that I'm required to have it at all times. It says nothing of the sort. What should I do? Can I contest the ticket on these terms?
