How do I endorse a check if I have power of attorney for the person named on the face of the check

Is it for deposit in the bank account of the person (say Mary Jones) who granted the power to you? If so the safest thing is to ask the bank where you will deposit it. Usually you'd sign it "For deposit only Mary Jones by Your Name, Attorney in Fact"
