Ok.... are anticipatory search warrants valid with a package of steroids from west coast to midwest. Package delivered, left outside door and no one signed anything,a Sorry we missed you notice left on door day before, asking to check box if package to be left or to pick up at facility,,box to leave checked and signed(who knows what it was.,,brought in opened later(10 mins) and within 2 mins door broke down and they take to jail while house torn up. Pack not even completely opened,,No name on warrant just address and no surveillance,,didnt even know who resided at residence. Found nothing in house ,,but found some syringes and steroids in vehicle trunk in attached garage,,vehicle not in warrant but residence is and garage was.

Warrant not necessary to open package shipped via common carrier. Shipping bill typically explains that person shipping package waives right to search package "shipper may search any package." Surveillance not necessary probable cause for warrant obtained from content of package. Package has nexus to house. Anything inside curtilege covered by warrant. Check knock and announce rule, how long did PD wait from knocking to entry, was this a reasonable time based on the circumstances? This is not advise just a suggestion, if you want advise contact a local attorney experienced with "package delivery" cases. P.S. steroids are not typically found with a drug sniffing dog, sounds like you were snitched off.
