Mistief to Propert

My friend and I purchased a pellet gun and went to a school and fired it off and was arrested later that evening for "mistief to property"

Anyways, what I wanted help more than advice for was if I am unable to leave the country now since I have been arrested. I have fingerprints and court coming in a month but I heard since I've been arrested I cannot leave the country for a year or so, just wanting to know if that is false or not, thanks.
