I am being sued in small claims court. I owe more money than what I am being sued for. If I settel before the court date can the plantif continue to come after me for the remainder of the money? If it goes to court and I pay it, can the plantif come after me for the remainder owed? If I am able to settel this wether in court or out, is the plantif obligated to remove any recorded leins associated with the suit? If we settel out of court, what do I need to request from the plantif to insure that the filed suit is dismissed so it doesnt effect my credit?
