What is the name of your state? FLORIDA

I've been told that the state of florida has 175 days to bring you to trial on a felony or the charges have to be dismissed... is this true? It's the last 24 days of the 175... what would happen next should the 175th day mark pass and no trial?

On it's own, nothing.

Once your time is expiring, you have to move for discharge. If none of the time hasn't been extended by another motion, that you or a codefendent (or your lawyers) didn't cause it, then the motion for discharge should be granted.
