I received a speeding ticket in Pacific County in Washington State. I checked to contest the ticket and have a court date of July 1, 2008.

My question is can I receive a deferral on this ticket without driving from Seattle to Long Beach Washington. Should I just call the clerk.

Thank you

Call the clerk and ask. You should also call the county attorney's office too. If it was a sheriff that gave you the ticket, you would only have to drive to South Bend, not Long Beach for court.
