I have a very good friend of mine who is going through a pretty bad legal situation, he makes to much money (sad) for a public defender, but cannot afford an attorney. The public defendor said he should be able to get the charges dropped, but he needs to write a letter to see about getting the charges dropped, can someone please explain to me the steps to doing this correctly?
