This court case is a really long story, but here the shortest way I can explain it.

A family member is claiming I took advantage of him and stole all of the money he received from Workman's Comp. This is false, but anyway; He is suing for $32,000 plus lawyer fees. I obviously cannot pay this off. In fact, I owe over $80,000 on my house and I am also in some credit card debt (the mortgage is being paid on time though!) So, taking a look at the upcoming court case, a good bet would be that I am going to lose.
What can happen? Can they take my home? How in the world can I pay off my lawyer plus my family member's lawsuit.

What is the name of your state?

And why are you so sure you will lose the lawsuit if you didn't take the money?
