What is the name of your state? CA

I live in California, but I want to sue my previous landlord in GA, is that possible without me having to physically be in GA? Can I ask a friend to file the case for me ?

Please advise

Where is the property that you rented located CA or GA?

If in CA, you can sue your landlord (even if he/she is in GA) in a CA small claims court, as long as the property that you rented was in CA. Don't know if GA rules are similiar.
