old tickets in north carolina

my son decided to move to n.c. during his stay he got sevral tickets . neadless to say he dident pay them . can some on tell me an attorney to handle this . the tickets ar in alamance county.he now lives in ms. and cant get his dl in this state or any other .im trying to help him with this .mhp in ms said he must get releaced from nc .nc said he neads to back his convicton date back like he paid them in 04 so he can get a clean report from nc . and dos any one have an idea how much this will cost i.dont have a lot of money.
