Questions

Why has the doctor stopped seeing you?
Were you found to have reached MMI (maximum medical improvement)?
If not, have you been released to work?

Your doctor should have seen you post-op. Depending on the type of surgery, you may even need physical therapy. I would recommend contacting your claims examiner at the insurance company. Ask him/her about the status of your claim...specifically about what is going on with your doctor/medical care. They should be able to shed some light. If you haven't been released from medical care and your doctor won't "see you anymore", you will have to get a new doctor and advise the insurance company (Change in Treating Physician).
