Copies of tickets...?

What is the name of your state? IL

I was recently issued two traffic tickets which I was planning to fight in court, when I noticed that not only did I have the defendant's copies, but also the court communications copies. Was this possibly an oversight on the officer's part, and also, is this something that can be used as leverage on my behalf? I would appreciate any advice! Thank you!

Leverage? I don't see what would be so difficult about the officer walking over to a copy machine with the copy he has.
