What is the name of your state? CA

Parents have no will, father passed 2003, mother passed 2005, took care of all properties while alive.. Now father is entitled to some money nobody knew he was getting. I can't afford a lawyer and need a Letter of Administration to get the funds, does anyone know exactly what supporting documents are going to be needed when I go to court and file the papers myself. Please advise.

Why would you say you can't afford an attorney? Any attorney you hired to be executor would get a percentage of whatever monies are in the estate.
