Hello,
My late wife inherited her father’s house and probate has been finalized (December 2007). She did not transfer the house in her name because her plans were to sell it as part of her father’s estate. She died about 3 months ago without a will. We have 2 children, aged 19 and 17. That house is not occupied at present time and I’m not in position (financially) of paying necessary expenses related to that house. My question is: may I rent the house without being appointed as administrator of my wife’s estate (application process is underway)? I’m resident of Ontario, Canada. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
