What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New Jersey. My question is " what are the maximum fees allowable in New Jersey to accountants handling the probate of a relative's will and distribution of the estate to the respective heirs?

The answer is either

A. Everything the statute allows

OR

B. If the fees are above and beyond the statutory allowance, then whatever the court allows.

Yes, but what are the allowable fees?
Well, what does this mean? Were the accountants hired by the estate's executor? Was an accountant appointed by the court as the estate executor?

.....to accountants handling the probate of a relative's will and distribution of the estate to the respective heirs?

5% of the first $200,000, plus 3.5% of the excess up to $1 million, and the court has the option of awarding a higher amount.
