Garnishing pay during hardship

:mad:What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? live in PA work in NY

I am being sued in court orf common pleas for an amount of money I do not have and can not afford to pay for a credit card debt. So it will probably come down to garnishing my pay check which I can not afford. Half of my pay goes for my mortgage and the other half as sole income provider for a family of four I need to survive which I am just barely doing. If I let them know that I am under a hardship and can not afford this will they still try to take my full pay until debt is satisfied? Please if anyone can answer with in the next couple of days. Also should I or do I need an attorney for this?
