I live in Alberta, Canada. My 2000 Ford Windstar Van was taken to a local Ford dealership to have the anti-theft reprogrammed as it was triggered by my independent mechanic. The mechanic was checking the reason for the ABS light on the dash. Ford returned my van, four days later, a bill for 7 hrs and this was the result. The van's alternater was garbage, the battery would not hold a charge, the van could be started, but would then not shut off. The anti-theft was disabled and I was told by the service manager that they had done their job in that the van was running.
