What is the name of your state (only U.S. law) Tx

Hi -

I was wondering if anyone could guide me as far as covering myself if I am in the process of taking over someone's car payments?

They are asking for $3k down and take over $520 monthly payments.
I want to make sure that if I do accept that Ive covered myself so at the end I dont get jipped.

Thanks!

You need to get the lender involved in on this; they may not go for this scheme.

It would be better for you to just buy the thing outright.

If you don't want to get jipped, buy a car with a clear title. If you need to finance have only one leinholder.

Bottom line, do not buy this car.

Isn't "jipped" politically incorrect now (since it is offensive to Gypsies)?

Aren't we supposed to say "transiently-challenged"?
