What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Kansas

Ok, i'm 19 and i got caught outside of a house with beer. i cooperated with the officer and talked to him for 15 minutes and he wrote me a ticket for minor in possesion. i didnt think much of it just accepted it and was ready to pay it and move on but as i looked at the ticket i realized that the officer did not write my name or any of my information on it; it just said the address of the house. He didnt even sign his name, he just put his number. is there anyway i can get off of this?

haha well if he didnt write the ticket to you I dont know how your responsible for paying. did you give him any identification? If the officer doesnt know who you are and just handed a ticket out, then I would say ur free of that charge.

Of course there is always the chance that he did write your information on the original or top copy which is turned over to the court, but he may not have pressed down hard enough for this information to transfer through all pages of the carbon-treated paper.

So if the court does have everything on the top copy of this citation and you decide not to pay it, or appear in court on the scheduled time and day, then you will have the additional FTA charge to deal with when you are picked up on the warrant they will issue for the FTA.

So there's no telling if they know who you are or not.
Did you sign the citation?

that also could be the case, that he didnt press hard enough on the paper..you should call the court house and see if u have a case pending..thats what i would do.
