This question is for my mother. My brother is 22 years old and is slow, but not MRDD or whatever. He has lived on his own for awhile now, but moved back in with our mother. He threatened to commit suicide in public so the cops took him to be evaluated. The same night they released him to our mother under a 72 hour guardianship type deal. With him just being slow how hard would it be for my mother to get full guardianship?

She would have to be able to prove that he is incompetent to manage his own life which would require expert testimony from his treating physicians.
