What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? North Carolina
My question is what happens after you appeal something?I was sentenced to 4 days in jail but my attorney appealed it.So I wouldnt have to go that moment. But I am going to go ahead and do my 4 days Thursday. So we have to go back to court and have the appeal withdrawn. What happens now?I am in a state of confusion:confused:

Who?My attorney?

After the sentencing, and him appealing the sentencing....we both walked out of the courtroom. He told me in the hallway to meet him back at the courthouse on Monday because we would have to go back in front of the judge to withdraw the appeal so I could go ahead with my 4 days.I am confused because I have never been through this before. When I go back in front of the judge,is there ever a chance that they can override the prior judge and I end up not having to do anytime at all? Will I have to explain my case all over again? What happens now?Withdraw an appeal...whats the process?
