My mother of 93 yrs. passed on leaving 9 adult children. one daughter lived with her for 53 yrs. Does the daughter that lived with her and took care of her for over 23 years have the right to stay in that home until she passes on or leaves we live in Ohio, Lucas County. Hope you can help would like to see her stay there.

Unless Ohio has some unusual laws, or it was held other than in the deceased's name, the property is now that of the estate of the deceased, with its value to be divided up equally among the children and if there are any deceased children, their heirs.

There is nothing that prevents the other heirs from allowing the caregiver to remain there for her lifetime, or X years. And it sounds as if it might be the "right thing to do" but that's something that has to be worked out, and is not a right at law.
