Living trust and marriage property

my husband wants to open a living trust and his daughter the beneficiary. However, he wants be to relinquish any claims to property that he acquired while we were married so that those properties can also be included in the trust for his daughter. Can he request this of me legally?

So if he dies, you will be left with nothing. Your daughter will have his assets? Is that what he wants to do? That is not normal, what are we missing?
