What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Georgia.
My wife is a resident alien (32 years). Recently we have heard that probate laws are different for her.
I am told that our joint property, if she dies first, goes to me with no estate tax. But if I were to die first, anything over $600K is subject to estate tax. Do I have this correct?

We have a will in place, but do we need to go further?
Thanks
