I have a friend in the state of Hawaii that was fired (via the telephone) on Friday-am for being too successful which resulted in the rest of the teams unsuccessfulness. She was told she would receive 1 weeks severance. Does this make sense and can she collect unemployment? She has not signed anything nor has she received her belonging or final pay.
