I was sitting on the curb when a police officer stopped me because i was smoking a cigarette. i told him i was 18 but he didnt believe me, and i admitted that i am 16. i was polite however and he gave me a ticket instead of arresting me. how much will this ticket cost? embarrassingly enough, i am studying criminal law and I heard him mention PC 308(b). someone help please

conviction, be punished by a fine of seventy-five dollars ($75) or 30
hours of community service work.
