I am owner an register of car, (suffolk, NY) Son uses car for school and work with a junior licence, he received a parking summons. why do we have to appear in court and cant mail in ? and whose licence are the points going on, If any...

there is no name on the summons, as my son was in school at the time, there was noone in the car, summons says "owner/operator"

Naturally, the summons says we need to appear to court.

You can usually plead guilty by mail for parking violations, but there are exceptions, so call the number on the back of the ticket. Otherwise, there are no points assessed for parking violations.
