What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? PA
Is there such a motion as a sentence reduction in Pennsylvania? My husband has 2-5 year sentence on a drug conviction and has been denied parole 2 times for totally riduclous reasons such as a negative recommendation from the Warden of the county jail (where he has never been housed) or not completeing classes that the Prison removed from his programming, etc and he appeals the denials showing that the classes were rmoved, etc but i honestly don't think they even really research the information as they would clearly be able to see the information they are referring to is not for him or has been updated. Are there any other avenues one can use? He has already served 3 1/2 years of this sentence and with this newest denial he will basically be forced to do the entire 5 years as the next time he would see the Parole board would be Sept 09 and his max date is April 1,2010.

A: There are many kinds of motions a prisoner may file. The criminal defense lawyer you hire will explain them to you.
