What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? South Carolina
I'm my fathers POA and had to put him in a nursing home. In 1994 he paid $50,000.00 to my step-mother, still his wife for her part of the home. She is now living in that home and I need to sale it for his health care costs as he doesn't recieve enoguh funds monthly to pay his rent. My question is, can I sale his home that is deeded only in his name? His wife doesn't contribute any funds at all toward his health care. I have a general power of attorney in the state of South Caolina. Any advice will be greatly appreciated as I've ran out of money to pay all of his bills and his home is paid for.
Regards
