What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Mississippi

I have recently been given POA for my Mother.

How do I sign her checks, and credit card purchases?

Do I sign "my name for her name"?

My name is not on the accounts, and most places in her small town
just let me sign her name to her checks, and when using her credit card for her purchases.
But I would like to know what is the LEGAL way to do this?:confused

One way to do this, is to take the POA and have the bank set up a legal custodial account.

Mothers Name (and on the records her soc sec number)
Your Name Legal Custodian
Address
State

We've been through this with my MIL a number of years ago, and this meets the VA and Soc Sec administration requirements for direct deposit.

Have never been questioned in cashing checks, either.
