Wisconsin- The young man is 19 and the young lady is 17. She is pregnant. Her father says they have to get married or the young man will go to jail. What should they do?What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

If it is his child, then he is going to be held financially responsible. The father can't have him arrested for failing to marry his daughter.
In most State the DA will stear away from anything other then financial resposibility, because too often the kids will get married to keep the father of the baby out of jail.
The innocent party here is the child.
