What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? indiana
I was recently pulled over in michigan for an expired tag on my truck. The long and short is this. They found my sons .22 rifle on the floor in my back seat. I am being charged with transporting a loaded firearm in a motor vehicle. My record is spotless. I've never been in trouble with the law, even for a ticket.
My question is this: because of my clean history/record with the law, is a pre-trial diversion request applicable before my court date/sentencing? This date is set for 11-17-08
