What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New York

Hello. My father recently received a parking violation. Charged violation is as follows, "No Parking (d) DAYS/HRS: EXCEPT Su/8A-10P". If he was at fault, he would pay the $65 ticket but he wasn't. He was parked behind the pole separating the no parking section of the block and the meter section of the block. He has the receipt for the ticket meter start time 1:39PM and expiration time 2:09PM expiration date 11/10/08. The notice was given at 1:43PM on the same day.

How would he go about fighting this ticket? Take pictures of the spot where he was parked? Just bring in the stub from the machine?

This is word against word. My father was cited for parking in no parking but it was in fact parking. He wouldn't have went to the store to get $1.00 in change to feed the meter machine for no reason.

Please help, thanks. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Tell pa to go to court and show the receipt and show the pictures of the place.

Will he win?

If I could answer that, I'd be at the casino.
