What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New Mexico

My father passed away in Texas and my youngest sister handled his affairs. My sister has conducted all of my fathers affairs while not making any disclosures to the other children of the family. Is there a public filing of his will and is there a public filing of he power of attorney? At this point I don't know if there is problem or not, I am just in the dark and I would like to know what my fathers will says and what his directions were in the power of attorney.

Comments and suggestions would be appreciated.

1) Any power of attorney that he granted, ended with your father's death.

2) Check the county in which he lived to see if the will has been probated. If so, the will is public.
