Probation question

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? I live in Indiana, and would like to know what is the difference between formal probation and any other probation, and what would be an example of each crime to administer one form of probation or another (formal)?

differnce in probation

i know there is supervised where you must report into the office once a month, mimimum, where you have to call in once a month, and they send you a letter if they want you to drop, whch is mimimally, and unsupervised, where you dont have to do anything but obey the law. no one but law inforsmt knows.
